I wanted to include my final paper for CPPL200 because it demonstrates my understanding of problem solving and policy. CPPL200 was a comprehensive crash course in leadership, where we learned about ourselves more than any direct learning material; finding new ways to develop ones self as a leader and how to apply it to practical leadership situations. I am very passionate about dismantling inorganic sects of power that exist in the United States, and I believe a lot of that unruly power exists in big tech companies and Silicon Valley. I feel that as a leader, the most important aspect is to look out for the people around you and advocate for them at any level you can. And I feel that the business side of technology has done immeasurable harm to the public and can be remedied through strict regulation and oversight. To achieve the goals I outlined in my paper, I would need to apply our core skills of leadership, by inspiring the public to push for change and transforming government agencies to take strong action against these companies.
